Architecture as social space of experience

On October 8, 2025, the STAMMTISCH returned in a new edition, offering fresh impulses on the guiding theme “Cultures of Knowledge”. Anna Keitemeier, a doctoral researcher at the KIT Graduate School CuKnow, spoke about how architecture creates in-between spaces – places that can be located somewhere between “here” and “there.”
The concept of liminality provided the thematic framework: transitions, thresholds, and movements were explored from various perspectives. Together with the participants, the interplay of space, time, and the body was discussed. Architecture was understood as a space of experience shaped by human perception and movement.
In a relaxed atmosphere, the event offered room for informal exchange. Through open conversations, ideas were deepened and new perspectives emerged. Once again, the roundtable proved to be a vibrant space for dialogue – a place for collective thinking and development.
More STAMMTISCH events with CuKnow will follow on November 26, 2025, and January 28, 2026 – all interested parties are warmly invited!
