From polarization in science communication to citizens’ trust in government institutions – KIT’s research topics on democracy are as diverse as the disciplines and researchers addressing them. With the launch of the new research topic “Resilient and Digital Democracy,” the KIT-Center Humans and Technology is promoting scientific, methodological, and strategic exchange regarding research on democracy at KIT.

What happens next?

Of course, a letter of intent isn’t enough on its own. Here are the steps we plan to take to develop this topic by mid-2027:
