CuKnow Writing Week in Bad-Liebenzell

From 22 to 26 September 2025, six doctoral students from the KIT Graduate School CuKnow met for a writing retreat at the International Forum Burg Bad Liebenzell. Far from everyday life, the week provided the ideal conditions for focusing intensively on writing projects.

As well as the individual writing process, the focus was on interdisciplinary exchange. Participants received valuable feedback in moderated sessions, benefited from personalised coaching and gained professional insights from the graduate school's PIs. The programme was rounded off with professional writing coaching by an external speaker.

The small group size, the five-day duration and the timing shortly before the start of the semester were particularly well received. The external input was considered enriching.
The retreat was a productive start to the new semester and an important contribution to the doctoral phase, with a lasting effect on motivation, writing practice and scientific clarity.
