Discover the world of autonomous mobility and teach your very own Duckietown robot how to drive! 

Are you interested in robotics, programming, and autonomous vehicles? Then our Duckietown workshop is just right for you! 
During this hands-on morning session for middle and high school students, you’ll learn 
how autonomous vehicles perceive their surroundings and make decisions on their own. You’ll 
program a real Duckietown robot and experience innovative robotics applications 
up close. 

Together, you’ll solve exciting programming challenges: 

• Teach the robot to navigate an obstacle course on its own. 
• Develop a line-following system so the robot can recognize a path and follow it. 
• Learn how autonomous vehicles “see,” detect obstacles, and navigate. 
• Gain your first hands-on experience in the fields of robotics, computer science, and artificial intelligence. 

No prior knowledge is required—just curiosity and a willingness to experiment!

• When? September 1 or 2, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
• Where? MobiLab at Kronenplatz, Karlsruhe 
• Refreshments? Drinks and snacks will be provided.
